A danger to Kisii county public : "We will respond only when someone die."

Insecurity: a term when mentioned Kenyans are eager to know ; what happened? .When the word insecurity is mentioned Kenyans think of terrorism, theft tribal wars; and many common things.
The kenyaonlineleaks today focuses on the current form of insecurity in Kisii county. It is known to be the fastest growing region which recently attracted the central bank of Kenya due to it's highly industrious population; climate and security.
Kisii region has been almost free from robbery ; theft and even terrorism due to the vigilant nature of the people .
However, the recent developments in the region has paused a security threat to the public ; mostly in rural areas.
If being insecure means being in danger; then the kenyaonline leaks finds electricity as the greatest danger in the region.
Almost every house in Kisii is to be connected to electricity. Almost 60 percent of houses have already been connected to electricity. This is because a cheap way of electric connection has made it easy to many.
Overhanging cables at Bosigisa village near Kisii town
However, many people have moved into the business of electric connection: several brockers and contractors who are usually confused as engineers have emerged. This has resulted to poor ; unlawful and environmentally risky electric connection.

A sample of Bosigisa village: almost a month ago an electric transformer burst into flames causing panic and injuries to people in some houses. The suspected cause was that the size of the transformer was small for the functions it was allocated to.
As if that was not enough on sunday noon the main electric line bursted like bombshell producing flames that also caused panic. This was due to overhanging electric cables that came into contact due to wind.
The photos here depicts overhanging electric cables at  Bobaracho county. It has lead to a conflict between the owner of the plot where the cables pass and the person whose house is to be connected to electricity.
The rule on use of electric posts has been assumed. The posts which should be a hundred metres apart in distance are more than three hundred metres. This has resulted to cables that are too low to the ground. The overhanging cables are lower in hight than the tall variety of bananas commonly found in the region.
Only when someone will die out of the risky cables that the rules will be followed. Only when someone will loose his property out of electric fire will the relevant bodies come to arrest fake contractors and engineers. Peoples will stop going for cheap stolen electricity when they will loose their beloved one.
Electricity is not seen as a danger nowadays. Even electric posts have no the danger sign they used to have. The sign will only be returned if one dies out of the risk.
It is in Kenya: we cure not prevent
