One needs not to be a Jewish prophet to predict corruption, and poor leadership in some Kenyan universities. If indeed bodies mandated to fight corruption are not blind;then their view of corruption is different from that of an intelligent Kenyan. Mind you I do not mean they are not intelligent. All I mean is that they are intelligent on how they can pretend to fight corruption.
If indeed there is anything like fighting corruption, then some university leaders should be under investigation or should be sacked out of offices or just to be clear if found guilty should be jailed.
Imagine of a university building a three floor hostel for more than ten years, mind you ten years does not mean the construction is over. In fact this means it might take it more years building the same structure if things do not change.
Several high schools have build structures big than the hostel in a year in a year. Examples are many yet the finance handled in high school is just a drop of what is handled in universities. How can a university complain of lacking accommodation yet it cant complete construction of hostels whose foundation was laid over ten years ago? How can a university be for ten years without initiating any new construction yet it lacks enough structures?
This is the tragedy of believing that most learned people make good leaders. If there is no funding to these institutions, it should be put to public domain so that things are understood. This is why we have strikes in Kenyan universities often because when injustice become a law, rebellion becomes a duty!
