Egerton University : an example Social Ebola in Kenyan Universities

A 5th year Egerton university engineering lady student was killed on the night of Friday. The lady was allegedly killed by a male student of the same university who was also found dead few minutes later after the madder of the lady.
It is suspected that the male student was killed by a gang of other students who were revenging on the killing of their fellow comrade lady student. It has been established that the two students resided outside the university premises where the incident occurred. Authorities have not established why the lady was killed and who went to revenge on the male student.
Egerton university is not the only Kenyan university in which such acts have occurred. Before Egerton university set this record in the race of social Ebola, Moi University's Charity from school of arts was raped and killed evoking eruptive reactions from the student's body last year. The same incidents of university students being killed is not a new story in Kenyan universities but the magnitude at which they occur is worrying. Eldoret University has not been spared as some of its students have been found killed in the past few years.
What has not been established is who real commits this acts but students have been suspected of taking animal like characters to kill their fellow comrades. Alcohol and drug abuse in Kenyan universities is always an evergreen subject to talk about. The morally rotten students have taken drugs as a god without considering the long-term impacts of it in society. Students suspect to be the perpetrators of this acts are always linked to drugs. In Moi university some clubs have in the past been closed for having been linked to the dead of some student in the university it never takes time for them to be reopened.
Theft and kidnapping is common in Kenyan universities is also a trend to worry about. Last year an Egerton university student was arrested on trying to kidnap a primary school child.
Terrorists have found the universities as fertile grounds to propagate the acts of extremism. Before Moi university students were mentioned to have joined Alshabaab; Nairobi university students were mentioned, before Moi university was mentioned, Maseno university student was mentioned in fact even the most learned are morally rotten.
Suicide if mentioned to students ,it never evokes critical thinking as to why it has become so frequent. In last year only two Moi university male students committed suicide for reasons that are not clear till to date.Another Moi university student poisoned himself in a love triangle.
All these events are foundation of a future rotten country. It is a recipe for disintegration of the country if viewed from a wider perspective if the situation can not be contained any soon.
