Moi university students flee a mid fear of terror attack.

Tension is high at Moi University in Eldoret following reports of a looming terror attack on the institution.
The terror alarm forced most students to move out of the
campus premises in fear of the imminent attack believed to
be targeting the hostels that are highly populated in the institution .
The Vice Chancellor Prof Richard Mibei said that four students from the faculty of
 Education and engineering had joined Somalia's Al-
Shabaab terrorism group and were suspected to be wedging an attack at the institution.

The students led by their leaders on Thursday held peaceful demonstrations at
the university  requesting the administration to ensure adequate security for students.
The students further requested the university adminstration to
assure them of safety while at the premises.
The VC assured the students and their parents
that the university was taking serious
measures to avoid a repeat of Garissa University insident earlier this year.
He further stated that the police were
investigating the matter to ensure the university
remained safe for the students.
147 studes died and many others injured in Apri 2 massacre at Garissa university. The incident created fear among university students with many opting to stay away from university premises.
