WHY CORRUPTION WILL LEAD TO ANARCHY IF PERSISTS

Corruption is something that we talk about, it is something that we accept is a bad thing but the the tragedy is that we accommodate it.It has been given several names and even called a cancer because it has taken roots in Kenya.

In Kenyan situation it is had to fight corruption because it has become a culture. If you are not corrupt you have benefited from corruption indirectly while the loss has been huge to the economy.

The media is at crossroads in fighting corruption because they want to keep their market. If a journalist works in a media company owned by a corrupt individual , he is naturally limited to reporting of the individual in the same media. This is because if he does he will loose his job. Most influential and corrupt people have not been reported for example by the media because they own it. If a journalist reports on these individuals then, he is perceived to be fighting the system from within.

Not even Religion can fight corruption. Churches in Kenya request for fund raising from corrupt rich people. It therefore becomes hard for the church to speak against corruption and corrupt leaders. The church is itself corrupt with individual who rob the innocent followers. Church leaders are voted for leadership positions in church. Even people campaign and bribe to be elected for church leadership.
In this way , the church has become a hiding point for corrupt people. Corrupt people have gone behind the curtains of religion while they promote corruption.

Good laws can not change a country but morals can. Politicians have made laws to fight corruption but the law does not apply to the political class and the rich. If an individual steals from government, he robes enough to assist him bribe judges in case he is arrested and remain rich with the remaining amount. It is like in Kenya if you are mentioned to be corrupt , you become popular feared and respected.

It is in Kenya where a child is trained to be corrupt. Parents often tell their childred to do something and get a reward for example bathing , even if it is something children need to do . This is not rewarding them but training them to be corrupt,.. The question is what is the way forward?
