BRING BACK ISLAM FROM THE HANDS OF FEW CRIMINALS; END TERROR IN THE WORLD

The Garissa University terror attack, the west-gate attack , the Mupeketoni attack and many terror attacks are still a scar to the concious of humanity. Am not spared by the pain of loosing friends and comrades in the attacks.
'All terrorists are Muslims but all Muslims are not  terrorists'
Muslims can stop more terror attacks; neither they,nor their religion stand accused.But nor for all our sakes, can they stand aside.
Real Islam is a peaceful religion but there seems to be a room in Islam for extremists. The meaning of jihad in Islam has been a fertile ground for sawing seeds of terror. whether the Jihad is misinterpreted or misused; I don't  know. All I know is that Muslim leaders ought to give the correct meaning to their followers to end the blood thirsty terror groups such as ISIS and Alshabaab in just mentioning because the list is long.
Jihad is an Arabic word meaning struggle. It usually means  a struggle of one's soul against the self and sinful desires. Muslims also have social campaigns to end poverty, disease and hunger which they call Jihad. While Jihad means a war of the good :fighting for the good in the society such as fighting for an end to war, disease,and famine, the terror groups linked to Islam have used it to completely do the opposite.
I; Machenge if wrong to face the facts herein; i better stop writing .Fortunately ,it is easy to do. African Islam has at its disposal a very effective social network of mosques and religious leaders but l could ask them why every Kenyan terrorist in Alshabaab is either a Muslim or a convert to Islam. Nobody joins such terror group without converting to Islam.
Islam must decisively and repeatedly repatriate all the doctrines that violent African youth are finding so convenient.
To date Islamic discourse has been sloppy capable of misinterpretation. all the acts of violence must be mocked away. I believe only Muslims can put an end to this.
The image of Islam has been tainted and wherever a terror attack occurs, Islam comes to the minds most non Islam as the responsible for the attacks.  the task now is to Muslims. Success in fighting terror in Kenya,Africa and even the world will be when Islam is taken back from the hands of few criminals to the real Muslims of peace and love.
