Engineering students from various universities sent home for lack of university acredation by the board

Fate of thousands of engineering students from universities whose programs have not been accredited is not known as the Engineering Board of Kenya (EBK) expired two month ago.

Engineering board of Kenya ;says only
engineering programs at Moi University, JKUAT, Kenyatta University, Universty of Nairobi, Egerton University and Dedan Kimathi university have been approved.

This implies that all other programs that are not listed under these universities are not approved; an issue that has created panic among the students taking         engineering programs that are not approved.

Universities not approved
Following the EBK directive; Technical University of Kenya sent home more
than 1,000 students. Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology
students and some from Egerton University pursuing engineering courses were also sent home after the directive which indicated  that their courses were not accredited and hence will not be registered to practice after their studies.
